‘GAIT FROM THE GROUND UP’ CLINIC
This highly popular CRTWH Clinic returns to Klondike Victory Farms May 10 and 11, 2014. Clinician Bill Roy of Falkland, BC specializes in training the Tennessee Walking Horse and the rider naturally.
The clinic will focus on the whole horse – emotionally, mentally and physically. To get the best from your horse there must be communication between horse and handler, so you can move along on the journey with your horse, from establishing a foundation on the ground to riding. Wherever you are on that continuum, this clinic will help you move to the next step. This clinic is for the new or experienced horse. The clinic will be tailored to the needs of the individuals attending. Bill will work individually with horse and rider on the problems they identify and present. If you have a particular concern, let us know in writing when you send in your registration, and it will be addressed.
The following topics may be covered: the importance of groundwork, trailer loading, standing still for mounting, the importance of tack, recognizing gait, achieving your horse’s best gait, improving focus, the importance of relaxation, and cantering, and how you can work on the trail to enhance the gait of your horse.
The number of horses is limited to 8. There is no limit to the number of auditors.
On Saturday, we will start at 9 and finish at 5:00.
Here’s your chance to start out the spring riding season on the right foot. It promises to be a fun, enlightening weekend. Hope to see you there!
