CLRC Update COVID 19

April 2, 2020

 From Canadian Livestock Records Corporation

 To all Association Reps,

With the current COVID 19 situation, I would like to give you a brief update on CLRC affairs.

As a support system to the Agricultural Industry, we are remaining open, albeit working on a limited basis from in the office. All Registrars are currently working from home, and coming into the office on occasion to print, process, post and pick up more work and return home. Other staff are working on rotation in the office to process the mail, and keep the office operating, and otherwise also working from home. So far, this is working well, however as you know, this can change quickly. The CLRC staff are committed to the work they do, however we will ensure the health and safety of our staff and their families.

Also due to the COVID outbreak, the Board of Directors has postponed indefinitely the Annual Meeting which was scheduled for April 18th.  The Annual Report and Audited Statements will be provided and posted on our website once completed. If there are any Associations that wanted to put forth names for Directors to the Board, this is still possible. I am attaching the Nomination Form, which can be completed and returned to myself (please scan and e-mail it to me) no later than April 17th. If there is more interest than there are positions, then an election will be coordinated by mail-in ballot or electronic means. I will advise accordingly.

I will keep you updated if there are any other significant changes. Thank you for your patience during these tumultuous times.

Stay safe,

Jim Washer

General Manager
